World of Pets Expo

The family had a FANTASTIC time today at the World of Pets Expo at the Fairgrounds. There were too many animals to count, we saw turtles, bunnies, ferrets, cats, birds, monkeys, porcupines and TONS of dogs just to name a few. Unfortunately, we forgot our camera so these are cell pictures. Still turned out pretty good though!

Communing with the birds.

Checking out some fish

Watching the dog show.
The dogs did some great tricks, she laughed out loud more than a few times.

A picture of her face paint before it was totally ruined.

Traveling in style

After her face was finished.

She was SUCH a good girl while Ms. Angela painted her butterfly.

Snow Day # 2

So yesterday we had 2.5 inches of snow for Claire to play in.....then after some rain and sleet it changed to snow again and we got DUMPED on. 11 inches! WooHoo!! Unfortunately though, this snow was not as good for snowman making as yesterday. And the sleet and rain destroyed Mr. Snowman :-( But Claire had so much fun sledding that she hardly noticed.

"Mommy, I have a snowball!"

All the sledding and trudging up the yard REALLY tuckered
her out. She took a TWO hour nap AND went to bed at 745 with no issues.

While Daddy was busy shoveling,
Claire was busy transferring snowballs from one side to the other.

Helping Daddy clean up the sidewalk.

Crawling across the snowy yard.

Beautiful shot of our snowy Maple tree

Woo Hoo!

Shaking snow off of the pine trees

looking adorable

Round Two of sledding.

Think we have created a speed demon!

Daddy and Claire taking a ride!
This is unfortunately when Brian took a header into the fence.

Showing off his war wound. LOL

Snow Day # 1

MARYLAND FINALLY GOT SOME SNOW!!
After weeks of disappointing forecasts, we finally got our snow!

Heading out Wednesday morning to FINALLY make her snowman.
She was SO excited she could hardly contain herself.

Did not take her long to start molding him.

"Here Daddy, it goes here."

"I think he needs a face..."

"Ahhh, I love you snowman!"

"WEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

"Mommy, look!
I sledding!"

Claire and Mommy hitting the hills.

I am afraid that Claire is getting too tall for her lil tykes slide. :-(

"But Mommy, I wanna play in the sand."
Poor thing couldn't grasp why this was not a good idea.

After a couple hours of sleet and rain,
part two of the storm begins around 4pm.

BANANAS!

So this weekend Claire was eating her lunch. I needed to go downstairs and turn over the laundry so I did......when I returned this is what I found....

"Mommy, LOOK!
I washed my face with bananas!!

We washed her face about a million times and hours later we were still chipping off pieces of dried banana!!

Tales from Day Care!

Post nap chillin' on Claire's cot.

I can just hear Mason saying:
"Cwaire, what you doing?"

Reading Mason a "good morning" story.

Making bird feeders!

Building towers!

Creating playdough art!

Completing puzzles!

I am SO grateful for the wonderful care that has been taken of Claire these past 2.5 years!
It is something that we will ALWAYS look back on and smile!
Thank you, Grandma Barbara!!!
